Sean Galligan passed away in April and was formerly a joint secretary with the Cavan Gaels club when it was first formed in 1957. He would go on to be secretary of the club in 1962, holding the position for four years before moving to Bray in Co Wicklow. Even after his move to the Garden County he continued to be a staunch supporter of the Gaels, attending many of its dinner dances and presentations down through the years. The Terry Coyle Park club offered its extended sympathies to Sean's family, particularly to his wife Marie (nee McGinnity).
