Nora Murtagh (nee Tierney), Corfad, Cootehill died in November of last year following a short illness. A native of Lavey, she married her late husband Pat in 1957 and moved to Corfad where they reared a large family of 12 children, including three sets of twins. Nora was a great lover of life and her funeral mass at St Brigid's Church in Kill saw a Guard of Honour formed by the Shamrocks GAA club.
