From Lung, Cootehill, Michael McQuillan passed away on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2016. Born in 1927, Michael was a driving force in many local organisations including Kill Co-Op, Kill Group Water Scheme and Kill GFC. The GAA was one of the great passions of Michael's life and he was honorary president of the local club. Father of popular intercounty referee Joe McQuillan, Michael regularly attended matches at both club and county level and he always maintained that Cavan were a match for anybody.
