An AFL debut to remember for Kilkenny's Joyce

2014 Kilkenny All-Ireland winning minor hurling captain Darragh Joyce's AFL debut ended in a two-point win for St Kilda today.

It was a day to remember for the Rower-Inistioge clubman as he and his team-mates edged out Melbourne by 119 to 117 at the MCG.

Joyce joined St. Kilda along with Westmeath's Ray Connellan in 2016 after first coming to their attention in the colours of Good Counsel, New Ross and then at an AFL Draft Combine held by Kerry's Tadhg Kennelly.

And the 21-year-old's older brother, four-time All-Ireland senior winner Kieran also had reason to celebrate this weekend…
