Galway claimed the spoils in today’s Connacht JFC final against Sligo at Markievicz Park.

With Sean Denvir playing a ‘man-of-the-match’ role, the Tribesmen ran out winners by 2-15 to 0-8.

They put down a large deposit on their victory in the opening half and took a 2-9 to 0-3 lead into the break.

Michael Day and Aaron Walsh netted the goals and they subsequently shaded the second-half exchanges by six points to five.
