County stars Darragh Fitzgibbon and Patrick Horgan posted 0-14 and 0-9 respectively for their clubs in the Cork SHC at the weekend.

Fitzgibbon's huge haul included two late points for senior newcomers Charleville in their 1-27 to 1-25 first round extra-time victory over Erin's Own at Pairc Ui Rinn on Saturday.

Meanwhile, five of Horgan's nine points came from play as Glen Rovers defeated last year's runners-up Midleton by 1-17 to 0-16. The Glen scored an unanswered 1-4 with reply in the closing stages - Simon Kennefick netted the only goal - as they avenged last year's championship loss to the same opponents.
