Tyrone cruised into the Super 8s with a facile victory over Cork in Portlaoise this evening.
Mickey Harte's charges are now guaranteed at least three more games in this year's championship against Dublin, Donegal and Roscommon, but they will have learned little about themselves against a dreadfully disappointing Cork side who suffered their second heavy defeat on the trot.
Cork need to have a serious look at themselves. Maybe Kerry aren't as good as they looked in Munster Final. Tyrone would've been better playing in house game.

Cork fan in front of me says this Cork performance worse than the Kerry loss 'cos Tyrone are an average team. Hard to argue with that logic.

This Tyrone performance might dampen some of the hype about Kerry after their stroll through the Munster championship. Incredible how far Cork senior football has regressed since 2010.

Cork football is a shambles right now. They're clearly not up to the level of conditioning required at this level. Past management team took a lot of criticism but this team is worse. #gaa #thesundaygame #cork #tyrone

Tyrone's first championship win over Cork having lost the only two previous championship meetings in the All-Ireland semi-finals of 1973 and 2009. #GAA

Impressive scoring form @TyroneGAALive today. Cork not up to much, but you can only beat who's put in front of you. Good result march on.

Awful to see Cork suffer that sort of defeat. Have said it before, and it'll never happen, but Jack O'Connor is a man who could do a job there

Cork have surely hit rock bottom. Surely...

Cork go out of football Championship after cumulative defeats of 33 points in last two games. Grim.

Sitting here drinking pints for the 7th day in a row mind you, in Lisdoonvarna...and all I can think of is, how can Cork be so shite? Population not everything, but surely over 500,000 people, you could produce 15 top class players #twotierchamponeeded

TweetRe Cork football: for a real Co Board leader with desire and appetite to sort this mess out, there's a challenging opportunity to change the narrative with a ground-up revision of what the county is doing. Wont be quick, indeed the architect may not be around to see legacy but...
