Clare SFC final replay: holders finish with a flourish

St Joseph’s, Miltown have completed back-to-back Jack Daly Cups after seeing off neighbours Kilmurry-Ibrickane in their replayed final at Cusack Park.

The Miltown-Malbay outfit finished both halves strongly to claimed their 15th Clare SFC title before an attendance of 3,917. Seeking their third title in four years, Kilmurry-Ibrickane made the better start with Keelan Sexton finding the range from frees. Dermot Coughlan was denied a goal by the excellent Seanie O'Brien before late points from the Cleary twins, Eoin and Conor, saw the holders regain parity at the break, 0-5 each.

Kilmurry-Ibrickane regained a 0-8 to 0-7 lead entering the last five minutes, but St Joseph's finished with a flourish as they retained their crown with late points from Darragh McDonagh (two), Eoin Cleary, Conor Murray and substitute Eoin Curtin.
