Clare joint-manager Donal Moloney is looking to the positives from the Munster SHC campaign in order to motivate the players for this weekend's All-Ireland SHC quarterfinal against Wexford.

Moloney was quick to state that there were far more positives than negatives to their provincial campaign when asked by the Clare Champion if the Munster final defeat would have an impact on the players.

The Banner take on Davy Fitzgerald's Wexford at Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Saturday afternoon with a place in the All-Ireland semi final up for grabs.

"We started the Munster championship when a lot of people said we wouldn't win any game. We finished top of the group. We lost the Munster final because of our third quarter performance and that is something we must focus on and learn from," stressed Moloney.

"There were critical games against Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford and the players came up trumps in those when it was needed."
