Playing four out of five weeks should be no problem to Clare, according to their joint-manager Donal Moloney.
Last weekend, Clare opened their Munster SHC campaign with a loss to Cork and they are back in action this weekend when they take on Waterford.
Following a tough encounter last Sunday, Moloney could be forgiven for using the excuse that his players may be tired this weekend, but he was having none of that when speaking to the Clare Champion.
"Our boys are very, very fit. A lot of them were full of running at the end and still carrying the game to Cork. We will be fine," said Moloney's response.
"It is a new ball game and last Sunday will have got the side up to championship pace. You can train for two months but you can never replicate that. It is a big factor.
"We look forward to Sunday, The guys are disappointed over losing but if you don't put everything into it, you won't learn about yourselves. This new format is very different. It could be very interesting yet. Look at what happened in the other game. This thing could be wide open yet."
