Seniors

Well done to our Senior Men who defeated Ramor United by 4-16 to 4-6 on Sunday last in the opening round of the Intermediate Championship in Emmett Park. Belturbet dominated large factions of the match and had built up a commanding 2-8 to 1-3 half time lead with Conal McGinley bagging the two first half goals. Belturbet captain Enda Henry helped himself to five first half points with three points from play and two converted frees. Conor Vaughan, Sean Og Lawlor and Conal McGinley also added a point apiece for the Rorys.

The second half saw Belturbet tag on early points from Sean Og and Conor and Enda bagged a goal in the 38th minute after Mark Teevan and Jack O'Callaghan's great approach play. Enda continued to be deadly from play and the dead ball with two frees and a point from play leaving Belturbet with a 3-13 to 3-3 lead after 47 minutes. The Rorys were awarded a penalty when Conor was fouled after the second half drinks break and Enda stepped up to hammer his shot goalwards only to be denied by a incredible save from Cian O'Kelly. Enda was on hand to snaffle up the rebound and bury to the net to finish with an excellent personal haul of 2-8. Eoin McGuigan, Callum McGreevy and Donal McDonald scored a point apiece in the latter stages of the second half to put the seal on the win.

Club Belturbet Membership

In the current climate in which we live, the cost of running a GAA club is becoming more and more expensive. Maintenance, equipment, overheads, and especially insurance are not getting any cheaper and your membership covers this! We need your support to continue to provide a service to the local community, our members.

We offer 3 different membership packages.

1. Club Belturbet- Family (€300)
This package entitles the whole family to club membership, free entry to ALL home games, use of facilities e.g. walking track and a weekly entry to the value of €5 to the club lotto.

2. Club Belturbet- Single (€240)
This package entitles the individual to club membership, free entry to ALL home games, use of facilities e.g. walking track and a weekly entry to the value of €5 to the club lotto. For regular lotto players, this package provides a saving of €20 as €5 x 52 weeks= €260 so you get 4 weeks free!

3. Basic membership- €50
This package entitles the individual to affiliation to the club and the use of the clubs facilities.

It is important to remember that everyone in the community is welcome to become a member of the club, and it is certainly in your best interests to do so as you will have full use of the walking track and facilities, without membership you are not insured and unfortunately are not covered to use the track.

For those interested in becoming a member, or who have questions, contact  Chairman, Paul O’Reilly (087) 668 2677 or  Secretary, Roisin O’Callaghan (086) 398 8050
