County Final

Now that the dust has settled on another fantastic week for our club, it is time to say thank you. To Castlerahan-Denn ladies for organising the Big Breakfast on county final morning. It built an atmosphere of hope and positivity and it was great to see young and old from all parts of the community coming together to enjoy the pre-match build up. Thank you to the organising committee and all the people who helped cook and serve the food. To the girls who provided face painting for the children for providing more colour and fun for our youngest players and supporters. To Melinda Gold Photography for documenting the happiness and enjoyment of the morning in St. Joseph's Hall. There are some wonderful family photos to treasure in her collection, which can be found on her Facebook page. To the County Board, the referee, match officials and everybody in Kingspan Breffni for organising an occasion befitting of the competition and county final day. To Sonja Smith Photography for documenting every facet of the day in Kingspan Breffni and our homecoming thereafter. Some excellent, candid photos in Sonja's collection which can be found on our Facebook page. To the people who helped prepare for the homecoming. From moving the trailer into position, erecting barriers, providing illumination, decoration and music on the stage to donning hi-viz jackets and acting as stewards...and tidying up afterwards. To our inimitable Master of Ceremonies Seamus O'Connell for keeping the event moving in the right direction, the whole while with good humour and fun. To Ian Branch, Michael Thomas McBreen and Andy Kane for an excellent and thoroughly enjoyable firework display to welcome our champions into town and bring proceedings on the street to a close. To all of our sponsors. Without your help we wouldn't have been able to make the great strides we have in recent years. We are eternally grateful. To our wonderful supporters who are behind us throughout the year and on days to be savoured such as county final Sunday - a massive thank you. The road hasn't always been paved in gold but you've all continuously rowed in behind. The sea of maroon around Kingspan Breffni - and Ballyjamesduff and Castlerahan before and since - bears testament to that. To the committee that worked hard in the lead up to the final and, indeed, throughout the year so far. Finally, to our players and the management team. We are all so proud of your achievements to date and trust that you can continue to give us more days such as county final Sunday going into the future. Castlerahan abú!
