Word of thanks to all in the return to action in Rory O'Moore Park

As our Senior men make their return to our home pitch this evening when they take on Shercock in the penultimate game of the league season we would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks to a huge number of people. We would like to sincerely thank our fantastic men and ladies club committee who started this project several years ago and whose committment, vision and countless hours behind the scenes has resulted in the final product which is now two state of the art pitches in our Rory O'Moore Park Grounds which rival any within the county. A special word of praise has to go to our Men's Chairman Mark Lawlor who has been a magnificent chairman of our club and who has always left no stone go unturned for the betterment of the club and its players. We have been very lucky to have him as the focal point of the club for a long period. Treasurer Alan Traynor, Vice Chairman Liam McCabe and Secretary Paul O'Reilly also deserve special praise for all the trojan work they have also put into the club and they do a lot of unseen work behind the scenes that does not go unnoticed and is hugely appreciated by us all. The club committees have also put a huge amount of hours into the re-development of the field with countless meetings and hours spent in securing sports grants which secured us a massive grant that went towards the funding of the pitch. This again is massively appreciated. To all who helped in getting the pitch ready we salute you, there are too many names to mention but you all know who you are.

A huge word of thanks has to go out also to all of our supporters both at home and abroad who have helped fund the pitch by joining the Club Belturbet initiative which came into effect a few years ago and who have continued to support the club financially during this period. All of the Volunteers who helped out with the Carnival which ran for a couple of years in our pitch and supporters again we thank you all very much.

We would also like to thank clubs throughout Cavan who offered us the use of their facilities. Kildallan, Butlersbridge, Redhills, Templeport, Ramor United, Drumlane, Corlough, Killeshandra and Cavan CHQ we will always be eternally grateful for all of your support and hospitality shown to our players, management teams and supporters.

We would like to thank all of our coaches and mentors across ladies and men's teams for all of their support in having to travel for all training sessions and matches away from the town and who never complained. You are all a magnificent group of volunteers and we thank each and every one of you. Praise must also go to all of the parents who have drove our players to training and matches both near and far.

We acknowledge the efforts also of our designated umpires and linesmen who have continued to perform their duties during the period away from Belturbet.

A huge word of thanks also to our club shirt sponsors Erne Toyota Motorworks and the Fitzpatrick Family for their continued support of the club.

A special word of thanks on behalf of the Senior Men's team goes to our Senior Manager Padraig Dolan and Senior Trainer Adrian McGovern who have been meticulous in dealing with the logisitics of organising training, meetings and matches for our players across the last three years for our home based and non home based players. Finally we would like to thank all of our players for their continued dedication to the club and their commitment in travelling over the past number of years. We look forward to watching all of our teams gracing this wonderful new sporting arena for many years to come.

It's great to be back on home soil!
