Seniors

Our Seniors lost out by 1-13 to 0-14 to Denn on Sunday afternoon last in the Athletic Grounds, Crubany.  Belturbet: Cian Vaughan, Luke Smith, Kevin McConnell, Mark Lawlor, Killian Murray, Shane Fitzpatrick, John Cahill, Enda Henry(0-6 6f), Fionan O’Reilly(0-2), Niall Lawlor, Eoin McGuigan, Donal McDonald, Niall O’Reilly(0-1), Brendan Fitzpatrick(0-3 1f), Conor Vaughan(0-1). Subs: Sean Og Lawlor(0-1), Peter Shannon, Jack O’Callaghan. Our Seniors are back in league action this Friday June 21 when they are away to Cornafean at 8pm.

 

Cavan Seniors

Best of luck to Mickey Graham and the Cavan Senior Team in the Ulster Championship Final this Sunday June 23 v Donegal at 2pm in Clones.

 

Winner of Ulster Final Tickets

Congratulations to Aoife Farmer who was the winner of the two  Ulster Final tickets giveaway last weekend.

 

Condolences to the Gorby Family

We regret to inform you of the death of Sheila Gorby(Nee Small), Holborn Hill, Belturbet. We offer her husband Tony, son Ian, daughters Anna and Angela, brothers Niall and Alan, and her whole extended family our sympathies and keep them in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Ar dheis de go raibh a hanam. Remains will be reposing at Lawlors Funeral Home, Ernehill on Wednesday June 19th from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass takes place on Thursday June 20th at 12 noon in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Belturbet with burial afterwards in Drumalee Cemetery. There will be a club guard of honour before the Funeral Mass on Thursday . You are asked to meet at 11.45 am at the Chapel and wear club colours. It would be appreciated if as many club members as possible could attend.

 

Cavan Senior Ladies

Hard luck to the Cavan Senior Ladies who lost by 0-24 to 2-13 to Donegal last Saturday  in the Ulster Senior Championship Semi Final after extra time in Killyclogher, Co.Tyrone.

 

Juvenile Get Active Initiative

Belturbet Boys Juvenile GAA are launching a new initiative to get our community active. Our target is to reach 1 million steps a day in the month of May with the help of our entire community. We are starting with a weekly community walk from Centra at 8pm on Wednesday May 1. We'd love to see you all there, don't forget your Hi-Vis.

 

Belturbet Golf Club

Belturbet Golf Club are doing an offer of €242 for 2 years for a Beginner Golfer or €242 for a returning golfer who hasn't played golf for 2 years for 1 year.

 

Club Membership 

Club Membership is now due for 2019. The funds are needed and much appreciated as it is going directly into the account for the much needed re-development of our club grounds which are nearing the final completion stage.  Many thanks for your continued strong and loyal support for our club. Family Membership in Club Belturbet is €300 for the year or €240 for the year for an individual membership in Club Belturbet. This will entitle members to free entry into all Belturbet games at underage and senior level as well as having their name entered into the weekly club lotto draw. If any member wishes to purchase the regular membership the fee for the year is €50. Membership fees for 2019 can be returned  to our club chairman Mark Lawlor, Secretary Paul O'Reilly, Treasurer Alan Traynor or indeed any of the club committee.
