ULSTER FINAL

All at Drumalee GAA wish Mickey Graham, his management team & the Cavan senior players the very best of luck in the Ulster Football Final against Donegal in Clones this coming Sunday at 2pm. In what is currently a sell-out, the Ulster Final next Sunday will be a great occasion for the team and county. Here’s hoping for the return of the Anglo-Celt cup back to Cavan.

RESERVE LEAGUE

Congratulations to our Reserve team who had a great win on Saturday evening against Bailieborough in Cootehill in the Division 2 league semi-final. It was a close affair with both teams level at the full time whistle pushing the game to extra time. However, Drumalee came back strong in extra time and came out worthy winners. Full Time Score (after extra time) Drumalee 5-13 Bailieborough 2-16. Well done to our players and management on making the final.

Drumalee now play Killinkere in the final on Saturday 22 June at 7pm. Venue TBC. Watch our social media and club text messages for updates. We wish all our players and management the very best of luck in the final this weekend.

SENIORS ACFL LEAGUE

Our seniors drew against Redhills at home on Sunday afternoon. Full Time Score: Drumalee 1-15 Redhills 1-15. We play Shannon Gaels away this Friday night 21st June in round 12 of the league , throw in is 8pm. Best of luck lads.

 

JUVENILES U7 & U9

Training for Underage continues every Saturday morning on Drumalee pitch at 10.30am. Any further updates regarding this week’s training or matched will be sent out in the club messages

Drumalee GAA Underage cater for boys & girls from 4 years upwards. Our Underage section offer a friendly, safe, and fun environment to learn the skills of Gaelic Football & to make new friends. DRUMALEE GAA- SUMMER CUL CAMPS 22-26 July

Drumalee GAA Kellogg’s Cul Camps take place this summer from 22 July- 26 July. This week is always a great week to learn new skills and make new friends at our wonderful facilities at St Feilims Park Drumalee. Cost is €60 for first child, €55 for second child and €45 for subsequent children, all participants receive kit pack which includes jersey and training top with backpack which are included in the cost.

BOXERCISE CLASSES

Boxercise Classes are now taking place in the Club Hall with Boxercise Cavan/Boris. Class times are Tuesday evenings 7.30pm, Thursday evenings 6.30 pm & Saturday mornings at 10.30 am. Kids Boxercise classes also on Monday evenings at 5pm. All fitness levels. Pay as you go €5 per class. Contact Boris – 087-7994929 for further information.

LOTTO RESULTS

 

Club lotto draw took place last 13 June with a Jackpot of €10,300

Numbers drawn were 2, 12, 27 & 31. No Jackpot Winner

SYMPATHIES

Drumalee GAA would like to extend their sincere condolences and sympathies to the McCormack family (Billis) on the passing of Seamus McCormack last week. Seamus took to the stage with Drumalee Scor and shall be remembered fondly by our club. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Vera, daughters Una, Louise and the extended McCormack family at this sad time. May He Rest in Peace.

 

The Flying Doctor – RIP

Drumalee GFC this week fondly remembers Dr Padraig Carney who passed away last week in California. Known as the Flying Doctor, Padraig won 2 All Ireland’s with Mayo in 1951 and 1952. While working in Cavan, he played for local teams and togged out for Drumalee against Laragh in a friendly game in 1952 two weeks after his All Ireland win. May He Rest in Peace.
