Seniors

Our Senior Men suffered a 0-16 to 1-8 defeat to Killinkere on Saturday evening last in their third game of the ACFL Division 2 League in O'Connell Park, Milltown. Well done to Sean and Colum who made their senior league debuts joining fellow youngster Jack in making their bows this season for the seniors.

Belturbet maintained their 100% winning record last Saturday when they dispatched Shannon Gaels on a 2-18 to 2-8 scoreline in O'Connell Park, Milltown. Shannon Gaels made the brighter start and had moved into an early 1-2 to 0-1 lead before Belturbet began to hit their stride with a steady spread of scores coming from Mark Tully, Colum Dennehy, Shane Lawlor, Conor Vaughan, Jack O'Callaghan and Mark O'Reilly in the first half as they took a 0-9 to 1-4 lead into the half time break with them. The Rorys continued to drive forward at every opportunity in the second half and bagged their first goal from Conor Vaughan early in the second half. The Rorys continued to tap over points with Killian Teevan, Conor Vaughan, Colum Dennehy and Mark O'Reilly all raising white flags. Conor Vaughan buried a second half penalty to add extra gloss to the scoreline as Belturbet ran out comprehensive ten point victors. Belturbet: Cian Vaughan, Sean Grogan, Shane Vesey, Evan O'Reilly,Mark O'Reilly, Jack O'Callaghan, Mark Lawlor, Killian Teevan, Ronan Vesey, Mark Tully,Shane Lawlor, Conor Vaughan,Colum Dennehy. U15s

Our U15s lost out to Killinkere on Wednesday evening last in Round 3 of the Division 2 League on a 5-17 to 2-5 scoreline in Jim Smith Memorial Park. Our U15s face Lough Oughter Gaels at home tomorrow evening at 7pm.

Juvenile Get Active Initiative

Belturbet Boys Juvenile GAA are launching a new initiative to get our community active. Our target is to reach 1 million steps a day in the month of May with the help of our entire community. We are starting with a weekly community walk from Centra at 8pm on Wednesday May 1. We'd love to see you all there, don't forget your Hi-Vis.

U13s

Our U13s defeated Ballymachugh by 4-9 to 3-8 in the Division 3 League yesterday evening in Sheelin Park. Our U13s are back in league action on May 7.

Belturbet Golf Club

Belturbet Golf Club are doing an offer of €242 for 2 years for a Beginner Golfer or €242 for a returning golfer who hasn't played golf for 2 years for 1 year.

Cavan Ladies

Hard luck to the Cavan Ladies who suffered a 5-13 to 2-9 defeat to Waterford in the Division 2 League Semi Final on Sunday last in Banagher, Co.Offaly.

Easter Raffle Draw Winners

Congratulations to Donnacha Fay, Catherine McGuigan, Gemma Beatty, Thelma Small and Michaela Carolan who were the winners of the Belturbet Ladies GFC draw which took place last Sunday.

  Belturbet Ladies GAA

Belturbet Ladies Gaelic Football club are hosting an exciting new programme called Gaelic4Girls which starts on Friday, 1 March from 5-6pm in the Astro Turf in Belturbet for 8 weeks. It is open to all girls aged between 8-12 years who are not registered with a Ladies Gaelic Football team. It introduces girls to football in a fun environment and all participants will get a G4G Jersey and certificate on completion. The programme costs €2. Club Membership 

Club Membership is now due for 2019. The funds are needed and much appreciated as it is going directly into the account for the much needed re-development of our club grounds which are well completed at this stage and which will be fully completed later this year.  Many thanks for your continued strong and loyal support for our club. Family Membership in Club Belturbet is €300 for the year or €240 for the year for an individual membership in Club Belturbet. This will entitle members to free entry into all Belturbet games at underage and senior level as well as having their name entered into the weekly club lotto draw. If any member wishes to purchase the regular membership the fee for the year is €50. Membership fees for 2019 can be returned  to our club chairman Mark Lawlor, Secretary Paul O'Reilly, Treasurer Alan Traynor or indeed any of the club committee.
