Pat Conaty, RIP Formerly Shantully Inn, Crossdoney
It was with great sadness that the people of the Cornafean/Crossdoney community and indeed surrounding areas learned of the recent passing of Pat Conaty formerly of Banahoe, Crosskeys and the Shantully Inn, Crossdoney.  For many years, Pat was front  of house at the Shantully Inn, quietly and efficiently running the business and his friendly smile and gentle manner endeared him to so many many customers.  Pat's association with the Shantully commenced approximately 45 years ago initially working for John Joe Sheridan and family and the last 25 year with Tony and Marie Brady and family.  His present and past work colleagues and many friends from the Crossdoney area provided a guard of honour at Pats funeral and the huge crowds present, many who travelled from many parts of the country bore testament to how respected and popular he was.  Apart from his dedication to the Shantully Pat's other interest in life were farming and his cattle and weekends away listening to many of his favourite country music bands.  Pat will be greatly missed by his partner MArgaret, brother Michael, sisters Margaret and Ann, brother in law, sister in law, nieces and nephews, Tony and MArie and family, Shantully and his many customers and friends and we extend our sincere sympathies to all.  Pat will be greatly missed but never forgotten around the Shantully in Crossdoney.  May he rest in peace.

St. Patricks Day Parades
Well done to all our local towns on their St. Patrick's Day Parades and special congratulations to Coronea National School on their prizewinning float in the Arva St. Patrick Day Parade.  Congratulations to all the pupils, parents and teachers on such a great effort.

Cornafean
Best of luck to our Senior mens teams as the All County Football league for 2019 resumes on next weekend with the Junior game down for decision on Saturday and our Seniors will take on Cuchullains on this coming Sunday in Cornafean.  Best of luck for the year to the players and management team.

Club Draw
