Membership & registration

We had a very strong turnout at our membership and registration sessions over two weekends and we look forward to seeing our juvenile teams in particular getting up and running over the next few weeks. If you missed the opportunity to register your child or renew your membership for 2019, don't fear - we will have one very final opportunity on Saturday, 23 March from 10 a.m. to 11:30 at the clubrooms in Ballyjamesduff.

Membership rates

The following are the membership rates for 2019. Adult (€50), Student (€40), Social (€20).

Juvenile membership rates have been increased as we will not be charging subscriptions this year; €40 (first child), €30 (second child) & €20 (third and more children). Couple and family membership rates for various combinations will be available at the registration session.

Walking Group

Our new Health and Wellbeing Officer, Noel Barkey, has decided to set up a walking group which will meet on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. in Castlerahan and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings at 8pm, under lights, in Fay Park, Ballyjamesduff until Easter. This will be a good opportunity to catch up with some friends and neighbours, all while enjoying some fresh air and reaping the benefits of physical activity - for the body and the mind. Social membership of €20 is required, or, if you are a full member, you will be covered under your membership.

U17

Hard luck to our U17 team who were unfortunately defeated in their third league game by Ballyhaise on Sunday afternoon last. Full-time scoreline: Castlerahan 5-13 to 9-14 Ballyhaise. They will host Lavey on Monday, 18 March at 12:30pm in Fay Park in round 4 of the league.

U15

Under 15 football training starts tomorrow evening on RSJ Astro Turf in Ballyjamesduff. Registration forms will be available for boys born in 2004 and 2005 wishing to play with the team this year. Training takes place from 8 to 9pm. The boys will compete in Division 3 of the league alongside Cavan Gaels, Ballyhaise, Cootehill, Dernacrieve Gaels, St. Finbarr's and Lacken. Best of luck to the lads and their management team of Kevin Coleman, Conor Caldwell and Brian Slowey in their preparation for and participation in the league.

U13

We have entered two U13 teams in the upcoming league. We will compete in Division 2 (13-a-side) alongside Ballyhaise, Belturbet, Cootehill, Crosserlough, Gowna, Knockbride and Lavey. We will also compete in Division 5 Group A (9-a-side) alongside Bailieborough, Crosserlough, Cuchulainns, Killygarry and Mountnugent. Details on fixtures will be released in the next few weeks.
