Carlow manager Turlough O’Brien is still coming to terms with how they lost to Limerick in last Sunday’s FL4 clash at Netwatch Cullen Park.
Conceding 1-01 in injury time, saw Carlow snatch defeat from the jaws of victory as Limerick made the long journey home with two points in the bag.
It was a cruel blow for the Barrowsiders who looked set for the win and O’Brien was unsure what happened when speaking to the Carlow Nationalist in the aftermath of the game.
“We should have got something out of the game. Time was up when it was a draw and that would have been a fair result,” stated an exasperated O’Brien.
The Carlow manager stressed that they must now look forward and come back stronger after this weekend’s break.
“There are still four games to go. I thought we had it. But the goal turned it. I am very disappointed. We had the game under control and I thought we were going to see it out.”
