Former Carlow minor hurler Padraig Amond continued his rich vein of scoring form in the FA Cup last night.
He hit the headlines once again when scoring in Newport County’s shock 2-0 fourth round win over Middlesborough.
That means he now holds the distinction of having scored in every round to date – Metropolitan Police (round 1), Wrexham (round 2), Leicester (round 3) and Middlesborough (round 4) while he also netted against Spurs last year when County almost knocked the Premier League giants out of the competition.
The former Na Brid clubman will be hoping he can repeat the trick when they square up to Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in round 5!
