A Carlow GAA club has been plunged into mourning following the death of one of its brightest prospects.
Eoin Byrne was a rising star of Clonmore GFC, which is the club of Leinster Council chairman Jim Bolger. He scored 1-1 from centre forward when Clonmore defeated Mount Leinster Rangers in the county minor 'B' football championship final two years ago and had only lined out last weekend against Palatine in Carlow's new U19 championship.
Sincere sympathy is extended to his family.
