Camogie: Lake County dominates Soaring Stars as Greville takes intermediate award

Westmeath have been rewarded for their All-Ireland camogie intermediate championship success with seven Soaring Star awards.

Laura Doherty, Fiona Leavy, Muireann Scally, Mairead McCormack, Sheila McGrath, Megan Dowdall and Pamela Greville were presented with their awards at the 16th annual Camogie All-Stars banquet in the Citywest Hotel last night. Full forward Greville was also named the WGPA Intermediate Player of the Year.

Galway are represented on the team by Laura Glynn, Dervla Higgins and Tara Ruttledge, while Tipperary duo Laura Shinners and Sabrina Larkin fill the full back and centre back slots. The selection is completed by Down's Nicole Kelly, Patrice Diggin of All-Ireland junior 'premier' champions Kerry and Derry's Grainne McGoldrick.
