Ireland manager Joe Kernan is expected to have a fully-fit squad to pick from for Sunday morning's International Rules first Test.

Mayo's Pearce Hanley, Enda Smith of Roscommon and Sligo's Niall Murphy, along with team physio and Tyrone three-time All-Ireland winner Enda McGinley, were struck down by a stomach bug on Thursday, but are recovering well after being confined to their rooms and kept under medical supervision.

The Irish team doctor Kevin Moran is confident that the three players will be fit to line out against Australia in Adelaide.

"Dr. Kevin Moran assured me that the three players in question would be fine and seem to be quietly confident that everything will be fine," Dr Moran told RTE's Marty Morrissey.

"Overall that situation has been cleared up."
