Corofin's Liam Silke will make his first start of the season for Galway as manager Padraic Joyce names his team to face Tyrone in Sunday's Allianz League Division 1 clash at Tuam Stadium.

Silke has recently returned to the county squad following his club's historic All-Ireland three-in-row achievement and slots straight back into the defence as a direct replacement for the injured John Daly.

There are also starts for Eamonn Brannigan and Adrian Varley in attack ahead of Finnian O Laoi and Michael Boyle, respectively.

Galway (Allianz FL Division 1 v Tyrone): Conor Gleeson; Sean Kelly, Sean Mulkerrin, Johnny Heaney; Gary O'Donnell, Liam Silke, Cillian McDaid; Ronan Steede, Cein Darcy; Eamonn Brannigan, Damien Comer, Michael Daly; Robert Finnerty, Shane Walsh, Adrian Varley.
