Tuam Stars manager Tommy Carton believes it's still all to play for after his side drew with Corofin in yesterday's Galway SFC final.

Carton's underdogs were just seconds away from ending Corofin's bid for a seven-in-a-row of Frank Fox Cups, but a last-gasp Gary Sice free earned a replay for the back-to-back All-Ireland champions.

“Yeah it’s disappointing, but we have another bite of the cherry. Our lads did very well, it was a great game of football to watch I’d say,” Carton told the Irish Daily Star.

“The free at the end, the two lads went for the ball and I don’t think it was a free but that happens in football. Our lads showed great character and heart. It just shows Corofin are beatable but they are a good team.”

He added: "To go toe-to-toe with the All-Ireland champions and to have them beaten with 30 seconds to go and for them to have to equalise is a great thing to go back to training on Tuesday night with."
