Mayo confirm O'Connor injury

Mayo GAA has confirmed the captain Diarmuid O'Connor broke a wrist in training last night.

In a statement issued this morning, the Connacht county revealed that the Ballintubber clubman will "undergo further examination" to establish the extent of the injury.

There's better news surrouding the fitness of Donal Vaughan, Seamus O'Shea, James Carr and Ger Cafferkey...

"Donal Vaughan, Seamus O'Shea, James Carr & Ger Cafferkey all participated fully in last night's session following recent injuries and all are in contention for selection this weekend," the statement revealed.

"Diarmuid O'Connor suffered a wrist injury in training last night.

"He was immediately assessed by our medical team & will undergo further examination later this week when the full extent of the injury will be confirmed."
