Laois manager Eddie Brennan will use all his experience of winning All-Ireland SHC titles to help his adopted county lift the Joe McDonagh Cup.

Last weekend’s win over Kerry guaranteed Laois a place in the second-tier All-Ireland final with a game to spare.

The eight-time All-Ireland winner is now looking ahead to the final, even though they play a Westmeath side that they will more than likely face in the decider, this weekend.

“We’re going to Croke Park to play in front of a Leinster final in a Joe McDonagh Cup final. We can’t rest on our laurels,” Brennan told the Leinster Express.

“Finals are for winning. You have to get your head around that and get ready. It’s a huge occasion to be part of.”
