The Allianz Football and Hurling League finals are expected to be played as a double-header at Croke Park on Sunday week.

It will be the first time in decades that the two finals will be part of the same bill at GAA headquarters, with the hurling decider having been played in Thurles, Nowlan Park and the Gaelic Grounds in recent years.

According to the Irish Independent, the Allianz Football League Division 2 final looks set to be brought forward 24 hours to the Saturday when it could form part of a potential triple-header with the Division 3 and 4 finals. There is still uncertainty surrounding whether the Division 3 final will take place next weekend after last Saturday's game between Louth and Westmeath was postponed.
