St Attracta's, Tubbercurry and Rice College, Westport will contest this year's Connacht PPS 'A' SF championship final after both sides enjoyed victories this afternoon.

It will be repeat of last month's league decider which saw St Attracta's come on top in a hard-fought encounter.

St Attracta's ran out comfortable 3-12 to 1-7 victors over St Gerald's, Castlebar at the Connacht GAA centre where Conall Ryan netted the game's opening goal to give the south Sligo school a 1-6 to 0-6 half-time lead.

Colm McGee's charges will be eager to make up for losing the previous two championship finals.

Meawhile, in the other semi-final, also played at the Bekan venue, Rice College reeled off the last three points to deny 48-time champions St Jarlath's, Tuam a place in the decider for the first time since 2013.

The Westport outfit trailed by 1-8 to 0-9 at the break but a strong third quarter saw them past their illustrious opponents - 2-16 to 1-13.

Like St Attracta's, Rice College have never won the 'A' senior football championship.
