Clarke and Hughes bans upheld

February 08, 2019

Armagh's Jamie Clarke and Pat Hughes of Sligo.

Armagh's Jamie Clarke and Pat Hughes of Sligo have failed to have one-match bans overturned.

Both players were red-carded during last weekend's Allianz Football League games against Clare and Down respectively, but have had their appeals upheld by the Central Hearings Committee.

It means Clarke will miss Armagh's trip to Navan to face Meath on Sunday, while Hughes will be unavailable for Sligo's clash with Laois in Portlaoise, unless they decide to take their cases to the GAA's Appeals Committee and are successful there.
