Terence 'Sambo' McNaughton is expected to tender his resignation as Antrim joint hurling manager at a county board meeting tonight.

Dominic 'Woody' McKinley could also step down, according to the Irish News, which would leave the Saffrons on the lookout for a new management. The pair returned for a second spell in charge midway through the 2016 season and guided Antrim to promotion to Division 1B of the Allianz League last year. But they were relegated back to Division 2A this year and also narrowly avoided relegation from the new Joe McDonagh Cup thanks to a playoff victory over Kildare.

It's been a tough few days for Antrim GAA with county chairman Collie Donnelly, vice-chairman Terry Reilly and treasurer Pol Mac Cana having all stepped down for personal reasons.
